In Project 1, the team solved a real-world problem using group management and organization techniques as well as the necessary software programs. A small town in Guatemala was in need of a suitable form of reliable electricity generation, and the team was tasked with designing and developing a wind turbine that would be an appropriate solution for these people living in rural Central America.
